Afternoon sunshine

Last week i tried the impossible - to take a photo of the kids together!
I decided that we would head down to the park in the warm afternoon sun, to capture just one photo that i could give to the grandparents...

"Cohen look at the camera and smile?" - FAIL

He much preferred pretending the lens hood was a crown and ran around saying he was the king!

Blurred and out of focus, this is as good as i got!

Tut-tut I should have known better!

After pulling all my tricks out of my sleeve Cohen still wouldn't sit next to his sister, let along keep still or look at the camera and smile. Playing every bit the toddler, i had a roll full of him looking away, running away or blurred snippets of what could of been a great shot. When will i learn!! I guess after having the camera in his face from pretty much birth he is well and truly over it....hopefully this is only a 2 year old ting and we'll have better luck next year! (Ha who am i kidding!?)

A wonderful weekend

A few months ago a good friend of mine had hired an amazing beach house in Byron Bay for her 30th birthday. We all took the kids down and had a relaxing few days filled with winter sunshine and great company.

Early one morning we took a walk down the the beach so the kids could run and explore. Mr. Van found lots of new treasures with his mum. Such a lovely end to a great weekend.

Meal time gets messy these days...luckily the weather is hot, so we dine alfresco!

Little D

At just over 2 weeks old Mr Declan was so present and alert. Such a little man already.

Was a pleasure to capture this new life. Look forward to watching him grow.

Van the Man

This little dude is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up. So amazing inside and out and he's not even 2!

Oh the adventures these two are going to have. Such delight watching each of them grow, learn and laugh along the way.

S&N get Hitched

One warm spring afternoon two of a good friends were married in a beautiful rustic country themed wedding.

With my trusty wingman (Amy and I), put together all the flowers and bouquets/bridal party flowers. It came together beautifully to make a gorgeous ceremony and fun filled reception.

I wish both Sarah and Nathan all the happiness in the world. Thank you for letting us share in your special day.

Just hanging around

I haven't posted in a while - sorry. Lots happening at the moment but i happened to snap this the other day whist playing with the kids in the back yard. Cohen is a big fan of the swing we have attached under our deck...requests to be pushed higher a frequent occurrence!

Look at these photos makes me realise just how old he looks now. Almost 2.5 he has such a great character about him. Makes me smile every day.

Double Trouble

A few weeks ago we went down to Byron for a friends birthday. The kids and I headed down to the beach to soak up some afternoon sun...these two were up to mischief!

These two are fun fun fun - with a hint of chaos thrown in for good measure. Love watching their friendship grow.

Super powers

I just love the little dint Willa has in her bottom lip, its oh so cute. I catch her practicing her pout all the time haha...I'm sure she'll be using this super power on her Dad to get her way before too long! I will have to remind Chad to look away when she plays the cute card, hahahaha.

But for now i will enjoy all the cuteness she can throw at us! That is until she becomes like her big brother and yells..."No click mummy!" too.

Soccer time...

Cohen was given a cute mini Manchester United uniform from our friends when they returned from overseas, and boy does he think he's pretty special wearing it. He races around the backyard like a super star.

Cohen getting his Russell Crowe 'No paparazzi photos' face on.

When i tried get him to stay still for a photo he ran away, as i followed him her turned and yelled "NO CLICK! Mummy!!! NO CLICK!" ...hahahahaha what a spoil sport!

Bath time

Willa is now big enough to join Cohen in the bath. Not only is it much easier bathing the two of them, its so cute to see Willa falling over with laughter as Cohen makes faces at her. It makes any of the chaos from the day disappear. They make my heart sing!

As much as its double trouble with two, watching them grow together is going to be so much fun. I love that she watches him where ever he goes with such interest and as soon as he comes within a meter of her, her face lights up and her smile beams.

Our back deck has created so much more space for Cohen to run around and play, summer is going to be great! We now have a lush green lawn and an area to set up a toddler pool. I can sit back and relax on the deck and watch the kids enjoy the sun.

Mean while until its hot enough to fill up the pool, the deck is getting a workout as a race track. With Cohen riding his race car around and around and around and around! Loads of fun.

Time is flying

I wanted to post this last Friday when Willa turned 6 months, but we did not have internet connection, so here it is.

6 months old already! I know its a cliche but the past 6 months has really flown...much quicker than i remember the first 6 months with Cohen. Probably because we run around all week to different activities trying to entertain an energetic toddler! None the less i am still asking myself where has the time gone!? She has started 'real food', begun to roll, sit and wants ever so badly to be able to crawl. Our little newborn has grown into a smiling, laughing, snuggly baby girl. With so much sunshine in her smile you can't help but giggle back at her when she stares at you with her blue eyes. Willa Cameron we love you xx
